About

I moved to Los Angeles, CA from Ann Arbor, MI, in 2011, exchanging 25 square miles of trees for living a few miles away from the Pacific Ocean. It’s great, especially in January when, instead of writing my dissertation, I send pictures back to my family and friends back home. But I swear I’m only this cruel some of the time.

When not writing or teaching or otherwise being productive or responsible, I enjoy video games (especially my still-functioning Nintendo 64), cooking (chili is a specialty of mine), and bike rides around the city. Ask me about Star Wars and I will talk to you for hours — I consider it a theoretical framework. Carne asada fries, pizza, coney dogs and dark liquor are all gifts from God. My graphic tee collection is well-stocked.
